Composition Tips
- Light-be aware of the light. contrast, time, and color change
- Angle-shoot horizontal and vertical
- Pattern-show distinct detail in the background pattern (if any)
- Photography and composition is very subjective
- Trial and error
- Incorporate people and activities naturally
- No Pose (for most photos)
- No white space (for most photos - see #14)
- Fill in the frame
- Be aware of sun
- Shoot tight...keep empty space to minimum
- Shoot sharp, hold camera still, (use tripod) to eliminate fuzzy spots
- Use different lenses
- Rule of thirds- use some empty space to focus on surrounding settings (off center)
- Always take more than one shot, you can always delete later
- Always carry more than one media cards
- Carry extra Batteries
- Set Camera time/date
- Keep image resolution high
- Experiment with light settings
- Carry lens tissue
- Make notes
